Default Can't lean out enough at idle ???

Hey I have a B16a2 with Revhard Stage 2 kit running 8psi now. I am using the VAFC, 450s, Vortech FMU, and Missing link. I have the VAFC at -50 at idle and it is still really rich; how can I lean it out more. Emissions is coming up and the guy at the dyno said it won't pass how it is. I can smell gas fumes at idle sometimes. Let me know what you guys have done or any other ideas that might work. Thanks

Tuned it that way. Only adds fuel under boost right?

you still have the cat on and you smell gas at idle??

try lowering the fuel rail pressure some and did you ever stop to think that maybe you don't need that big of injectors....

just because one guy's got a B16a2 and no problems with it running the hack and 450cc jets doesn't mean you won't....

With the Vafc you dont need the missing link or fmu. Get rid of both of them

My ecu throughs codes when I don't use the Missing Link. What fuel pressure should I run, rough estimate? The car isn't rich throughout the rest of the RPM band just below 2k. Yeah I can smell fumes after the cat. With stock injectors it was leaning out after VTEC hit.

Just take off the missing link and the fmu and see how it runs.

ok,my suggestion, get rid of the fmu, then drop your fuel pressure down, then lean it out witht he vafc.

im still using my missing link with 370's,i dont run the hack and my car runs like a stock turboed car.no bogging,no hesitation whatso ever.id keep the link in there and take it to a dyno to get it tunned.you just dont need a fmu and 450's at the same time.fmu's are for thouse who try to run stock injectors.

Someone said I could retard the timing and make sure my spark plugs have a small gap? What gap should I use? I have the ngk bkr7e's.

Are you sure that your vafc is hooked up right? You shouldnt throw a map code at 8 psi as long as your settings are correct....

FMU + 450's = LOTS-O-FUEL... that's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fuel for 8psi. Ditch the FMU and run the AFC alone, or ditch the 450's for some 310's.
