what is your bore now?

I'm pretty sure they'll make the rollerwaves in any bore you want - just tell them your setup...

*I have also heard rumors that they are possibly going to start doing the rollerwaves in stock bore... Any truth in that Lip?

As Wiseco is the manufacturer of "rollerwaves" (which magically become rollerwaves after a few scrubs of sandpapers...ooh ahh) I would contact Wiseco directly to inquire about your application.

Yeah, but supposedly larry does some "magic" to those pistons.

Also, I understand they won't sell those pistons to consumers - only to Larry, since they are his design...

I don't want to use cast pistons, so maybe I'll just ask on T.O.O's message board...

I think the point is....i don't care if weisco or endyn gets my money as long as i get what i want. If Larry and weisco have this deal going so be it...and if larry's just sanding down the domes to smooth them out or if he has weisco doing them for him....so be it. This is certainly not directed at you what so ever. its just that if it were me making a profit or coming up with a little idea here and there....why not promote it? Its like the guy that just invented this little net you attach to the side of your pool so the rodents can get out instead of drowning. big whoop right? so simple....but how many of us will buy one if we were in the situation of having to pull mice out of our pools all the time. Call it worthwhile convienence.

Mike, the 86mm ones will fit fine, if you get the right sleevess from Josh. He knows which ones to get.

What makes you think 86mm? Did you see Dwayne's pistons and start foaming at the mouth? Yes, his engine will be a real *** kicker.

Swing by Acura today for that test drive you wanted.

man, you usually have good things to offer this board... but for godsakes, get one of these RW pistons in your freaking hand so you can see the difference... I know your smart enough to see it... they are different to the untrained eye... and very novel in their simplicity to the trained eye... Maybe it's my Aerospace back ground, but it is such an obvious design... redirecting pressure waves... wish I'd have thought of it... By the way, Wiseco does not sell the same design pistons to my knowledge... but then again what the hell do I know, I only built high hp engines as a past time...

Lip, any truth to stock bore RWs coming out? I read the reason Larry only offered .5mm over was to force people to properly condition the cylinder walls prior to installation... Guess some idiots didn't and blamed the pistons for a bad prep job...

the thing is i'm sure he can do a stock bore...but really who needs a stock bore? thats for low milage cars and most buildups happen after a motor has had some driving time put on it. When you install pistons....you pretty damn near must pull the motor anyway...so just spend a tick more and have it bored to spec with one of the pistons. This is one of the reason i resleeved my block. I figured...****...1k and i can have stronger sleeves for either big NA applications or for big boost and go to any bore i wish up to a good 86mm while its at the machinest for the same price. As soon as you get some miles on a motor its best to overbore so your rings don't go prematurely. a good clearance is always a good thing. Again...not saying you have to...or that its necessary on low low milage cars....just saying its optimum and hense why you see 81.5's from endyn
