Why do the Integra windows roll down so dang slow!??!
I have to have my windows lubricated right now cause they are starting to get the patented window problem
all Integras get...when they get about half way down they pretty much stop moving.
But even when the car was new, like all Integras, the windows are still really slow compared to other makes and models.
For instance, Chevy cars have really quick windows.not that I would ever own a Chevy but, those things zoom down and up...kinda makes me mad
to have to sit there forever waiting on the damn window to roll down.
This kinda off topic...just lettin off steam!...honda!!! Make faster window motors!

they are using a lighter weight motor to roll the windows down and up. So they are not as strong as the heavy duty motor used in the other cars.
I just noticed my driver side doing the stop halfway thing you are talking about. I guess I'll go by the dealer and have them lubed if that's the fix.
Has anyone removed the power windows like Cosworth was talking about? I wonder how much weight would be saved, it always seemed odd to me that they left out so much other crap to save weight but kept the power windows and locks.

passenger side is okay, but my driver's side is totally fug'd up on c00ler days.
Goes down okay, but goes back up slow. Then it gets stuck at the very top where it just starts to tuck under the weather stripping
yoshi - who thinks about just taking out the side windows since they're always down anyways

Here is something that worked for my passenger window (94 GSR): I sprayed silicone lube in the window channel at from the top, then took off the inner door panel and sprayed silicone lube in the lower part of the channel. The problem was that as the window moved down, it was binding up in the track, and would actually stretch the rubber track liner (or whatever it is called), until it freed up and the rubber would sorta snap back into place.
On the other hand, I have tried everything to fix the slow and chattery drivers side window with no luck. I'll live with it for now.

After driving my mom's 330ci for a while, I got use to the auto up/down feature on both windows. I see how luxury cars make you lazy
Well just be glad the ITR even has power windows, my daily driver has power nothing (which I have to keep telling myself is good for keeping it lightweight).

yeah, lubbing up the run channels helps. It's t00 bad it doesn't help my window from getting stuck near the top and the window rattles when I close it
just wait till your car is 3 years old....

A friend of Mine has a 2000 and had the same problem but he brought it to the dealer and they said they "cleaned and relubed them" and now they work like new, when they slowed down again he had them do it again Plus they covered it under warranty
I thought mine was a defect.. but now I see that every owners complaint...
so I feel a little relief...
but yeah, when I took my car to the dealer, all my complaints just faded away..
like the click-ing sound of the clutch is just gone...

What really sucks is when your in my boat and you have the DEI Window roll up which puts your windows up when the alarm is armed, Mine would go up stop up stop up stop.

They spent too much time on making the car light, fast, and handle great...but forgot about the windows...
hehehe...
Maybe the VTEC in the motor of the Power Window has gone bad? Because when Mine rolls down half way it switches to higher torque motor and speeds down faster.
I'm teasing TJ>.....

adjust the remote window module

It's ment to be.....
If you will notice the passenger side rolls down faster than the driver side. This is happening for a reason. It's set up that way to reduce wear and tear on the driver side motor. Reason? Because the driver side window is "statistically" used more. There for...... the slower speed.
If it really bothers you that much you can take a trip to the Acura dealership and have them adjust the motor. I'm sure if you wave the warranty on the motor you could have it adjusted so that you make it shoot up like a rocket or fall down like a rock.
"been there doing that"

I noticed that the windows go up and down a lot slower when idling. I suspect that the lighter battery in too wimpy for all the extras. My driver side window makes all sorts of cracking dragging sound when it goes up and down.
I'll put up with slow windows. I have the DEI alarm on my car, love the auto up/down thing. However, is there any way to set the alarm to roll the windows al the way down instead of having to press the buttons mad times?
