Turbo JDM ITR Prob....Over Fuelling??
My friend owns a JDM 1996 Honda Integra Type R.
This has been fitted with a Drag Gen 3 Turbo Kit (T3/T4 turbo)
SRP Pistons
ARP Bolts
Eagle Connecting Rods
Darton Sleeves.
Crane Cams Ignition
Guys we need help we have a problem.............
At around 4000-5000 rpm the engine seems to stall, and the boost gauge reads 6psi......
This happened lately as we did the running in process for 1000 kms and everything was fine....
The plugs are dark in car...grayish....it seems a case of over fueling or unburnt fuel .... what could it be guys?
We tried to set the distributor to full advance and we set the crane Cams to 8 degrees retard..... now it seems that it is working perfectly ??
We are really confused any help please?

Hi,
A small update guys.......we set the distributor to stock timing @ 18 deg....the ecu is also showing a 3 and 6 fault codes......
Could it be conneced to a faulty map or knock sensor please?
In the mean time the car is still running bad after 4000 rpm
rgds,

rgds,
Sounds like the ecu is in open loop and pulling timing and adding fuel. Is the map sensor seeing boost, or are you using VAFC, or missing link (or check valves)?

We are using a Missing link..........
The strange thing is that the car was running perfectly during the running period....then it developed a leak from its camshaft seal...and we had to fix that....then afterward this problem arose............
We are still very very confused....how can it be that it was running right and now it is not??
