Default B-series rods on D-series crank?

I just noticed that the D15B7 con. rod is 134mm in length compared to the D16 motors which are 137mm. By using D16 rods and pistons would increase the displacement.. correct me if I'm wrong. But also noticed that the USDM B16A2 uses a 134mm con. rod unlike the B18B's 137mm or B18C's 137.9mm. Will the B16 rod bolt up to the D-series crank?

the bottom end fits fine... some people us ls rods others use b16 rods...

There was a guy on here selling kits of machined b16 rods (at the small end) to fit some toyota forged pistons... This was for d16 obviously.

search...

those are all resulst for "ls rods"... if you searched for "b16 rods" I think you'd get similar results...

The guy selling the kit was... turbopanda or something like that... hold on... I can't find the thread (I think he doesn't sell them anymore) but I'm pretty sure that's his username...

Good luck...

You re-discovered the wheel

changing the rods and pistons will have NO effect on the displacement.

Only chaning the stroke (crankshaft) or the bore can change displacement.
