Swap problems!!!!
I just got my swap and it was running fine until I get on it on the Interstate and check engine light comes on COde 22? So I reset the code and go out and vtec engages fine the car runs great except for a stutter which I was told was my O2. SO I turn onto my road and get on it vtec engages then when I hit 2nd it stops and the temp start going up and engine light code 22? I reset it check my oil level which is a bit high and take it out VTEC engages then I turn around and on the way home it won't. No check engine this time? I came home and let the car sit about 5 min I go to pick up a friend and it engages so I start driving casually and the temp starts getting high??? I take it home and when I pull the lever to pop my hood the wire brakes. So how can I pop my hood? and what the hell is wrong with my car?

it sounds like you have a few different problems, for the overheating problem let the car cool down and then take off the radiator cap off and start up the engine. let all the air bubbles leak out of the system. you probably have air pockets in your cooling system, add water the whole time. also in the mean time try squeezing the radiator hoses to get all the air out. And since you just put the engine in, what the hell are you doin going into vtec, try breakin it in easy, especially if you got a new clutch.
Its cursed like my car... But there is a little wire if you use a dentists pick you can grab it and pop the hood, its just to the left of the H... Also, you may need to get under the car to do it caus I think the bumper cover that part.
alright I got the hood popped and I took the radiator cap off and nothing came spewing out and it didn't even hiss? It is a little low on water so I will do as the above said. the motor has been in for a few weeks so I give it a little hell. WHat do you guys recommend for the code 22?

what you need to do is fill the radiator once with the car off .. then go ahead and start it and just let it run .. you will have the radiator cap off and your coolant/water mixture ready to pour.. if you just watch you will see bubbles come out the top of the radiator .. keeping pouring and let it over flow untill all the bubbles stop comming out. then you will have no air in the lines and you wont over heat.im sure you have some other problems but that might help solve one. as for the 22 check all your wires for the vtec pressure switch and you shouldent run your car with more oil than required, this can also cause you to overheat.

Well the oil is barely over and I did what you said to do on the radiator and it seems to not be over heating anymore. I took the vtec selonoid off and cleaned the screen and the vtec oil pressure switch and cleaned it too and no more codes and it is engageing fine. I think mainly the car just needs to be broke in so I will drive it easy for a while. I am also going to change the oil tommorrow.

that code 22 was the Oil pressure sensor...
thats the green plug under the vtec solenoid....
maybe u had it unhooked, or was dirty and not working properly...
since u cleaned it and re installed it and made sure it was all good now it will work fine
