so with this you need a key to open the hood? If tampered w/, it kills the starter? If so, that is pretty cool...where'd you get it? any other cool info on it? How much?
i got this from jc whiteney
its was 60 bucks everything included
heres the deal: to open hood u need to unlock the switch. when the hood is locked, the car cannot start.
therefore the hood has to be unlocked to start the car.
its kewl cause u can hide this thing anywhere

I have the same thing. I haven't gotten around to do the wiring either.
BTW, have you installed the hardware parts yet? It's a pain in the *** if you don't do it right. There is very little room in that engine bay. Actually, it's a pain even if you know where to put everything. I could put up some pics if you want along with some tips.

k dude, pg 23-75 of helms...
see that BLK/WHT coming off the ignition switch? cut that wire, and splice in the white and black wires they have there for you.... cept don't use wire nuts like they say... that's plain retarded.... i say solder them... others will tell you to use crimp connectors only..... in my experience, solder is better if done properly. just a suggestion. you should cut this wire inside the steel cover of the colum.... and hide the black and white wires in black loom, fully tapped with black electrical, so it will look as factory as possible.
12V Switched power can be obtained from the ignition harness, BLK/YEL, and 12V can be obtained from either the + of the battery, or ignition harness also, get a DMM and check the wires to teach yourself what wire is what under the ignition key positions
i probably wouldn't use the LED... i think it would be annoying.
D
i'd also like to add, take your time, hide all wires in the engine bay in OEM loom if you can, and re-tape them.
