I recently had a 00 ITR USDM motor put into EH civic. The motor has just over 14K miles on it. Ever since its been in Ive noticed a clicking noise that gets louder the higher the RPMs get. I started researching the problem trying to find the problem. At first people kept telling me its the throwout bearing, but the motor and trans, only have 14K miles on it. So Ive been looking through the archives, and the only thread I found that relates to my problem is this one:

Heres the problem I have. With the clutch out and Im acclerating I hear the clicking noise, that you could also describe as a whining noise. If I press the clutch in and take my foot off the gas the noise goes away, even if Im rolling. With the clutch in, if I press the gas and rev the motor, the noise comes back. If I take my foot off the gas, but do not have the clutch pushed in, the noise is still there.

Im a little worried after reading the above post so Im wondering what you guys think, or if anyone who posted in that original thread has any answers let me know. Thanks alot.

Id still like to hear some input from you guys/gals.

 

I have the exact same problem, however I find it loudest in 3rd and 4th gear when the clutch and throttle are off and the car is decelerating with the engine. If I put the car into neutral the noise if gone, even if I give it some throttle. I have changed the tranny fluid with Honda MTF, but the noise is still there. I may try the GM Syncromesh stuff to see if it works before I start replacing anything.
