Really high idle with B16a.. need help...
Ok.. here is what is going on.. every time i start the car, it idles at about 2500rpm.. then when its warm it still idles from 1500-2000rpm.. even when im driving the car and i let go of the gas pedal it still stays at a constant speed, it seems like the pedal is stuck or the throttle cable is too tight.. i already checked the throttle cable and its ok.. it kinda feels like the fuel pressure regulator vacuum is off, but its connected.... ...is there anything else i can check for??
thanks....
thanks....

Here's what I found was my issue maybe this will help. Check for vacuum leaks using brake cleaner or something with gas in it that you can spray. Spray it on all vacuum hose ends to verify that there are no leaks(if there is the idle will surge from the gas). If that produces nothing then check all hosing Visually. If that in turn turns up nothing time for plan B. Drive it over big hill jump out and claim it was stolen (kidding). Seriously, you may need to adjust the idle screw. Before you do that make sure there is enough slack in the Throttle cable so that the TB fully closes. If that is fine then I'd say check turn the screw clock wise to see if the idle reduces. That should be closing it (if idle increases doing this turn the oppsite way. Also your TPS maybe bad as well. Only other thing for high idle is IAT sensor might be starting to go bad. Does your car register the proper temps. If your temp sensor is bad that will cause it idle high as well. I hope this helps you some.

The temp needle is always running a at almost 3/4 up which means its getting a little hot... and it should always be around 1/2 right??
-Reset your ECU to see if that helps
-there might be carbon in the throttle body causing it to stick
-your throttle cable might be too tight
-you might have a tiny crack in one of your cylinder walls
-you might just be low on coolant
-your thermostat might be faulty

I havent really touched the idle screw yet, that is my next step...
I tried to reset the ecu and nothing happened..
the throttle cable has enough slack... i checked it out already..
If the idle screw doesnt do anything, i will take it the throttle body and clean it out, that might be the problem...
coolent is full...
i will also change the thermostat...
thanks guys..
