For those with the Icebox...
You might want to check the inlet horn at the bottom because I was running crappy times at the strip, so I checked under the car and the inlet horn was totaly disconnected from the inlet pipe. Don't know if that had anything to do with my bad times but I'm sure it didn't help.
I had this problem when i first put it on, but i used an extra silicone elbow piece, cut it into a couple of small patches, and inserted these between the two plastic tubes before tightening the hose clamp around them. Holds it very firmly.
I had that problem too. It happened twice so I went under and cranked on that O-Ring. Doesn't seem to be a problem anymore.
Another problem is when mechanics go in and look at your filter. Homeboy didn't put the cover on properly.

It also happened to me...when I was at Comptech I commented on the fact, we put it on the lift, removed the piece, made sure that all of the parts were correctly aligned, and retightened "horn" it hasn't come off in the last 4000 miles, which include 120 miles on a road course, 2 autocrosses, and about 6 runs down the drag strip...I guess that the piece requires you to retorque the bolts after after you have "broken it in"

hmmm . . . hasn't happened to me, and mine's been on for about 2000 miles. i did tighten mine down like a bastard, so that's probably why . . .
i actually need to re-position mine, i think . . . where does everyone else have there's pointed? mine is angled slightly upwards, right behind the turn signal. i was thinking of angling it down, almost straight down, if possible. thoughts?

WOW I cant believe this post, I just fixed that problem this morning. I had to
adjust it more towerd the front because I noticed that what looks like a trans
mount has a little play and it was right up against the intake. I know this is what
caused it to come apart because with hard shifting it pushes on it so get back
under there and make sure that mount has room to flex without pushing on intake.

Same thing happened to me...I thought I cranked that little hose clamp on, but one day I was wiggling the Icebox to see if it was still in place...but it moved...I checked underneath and the air horn had worked itself lose like y'all said.
So I Hulk Hoganed that hose clamp on and so far so good. Next time it'll get the royal JB weld treatment, maybe with a few through bolts for extra damage. Just kidding.
The silicon hose shim thing is a pretty cool trick!

Another one here....happened once (even after severe tightening), but hasn't happened since. Like Austin said, maybe it just needs to be broken in before it holds really good.
