Default Comptech icebox problem

I was driving the R kinda hard the other day, and i hear this thump..and when i get home i see that the tube where the air first enters..its like a curved tube that comes with the icebox is no longer there. its most likely because i currently dont have a fender liner on the passenger side. well anyway, i was wondering if any of you knew if i could get a replacement for just that part alone? any info appreciated. thanks so much.

Yes that's been known to happen, mine has also worked it's way loose and off in the past. I check it every time I do an oil change or am under the car or even when I swap tires.

The only place I'd presume you could get just that piece replaced would be Comptech themselves: http://www.comptechusa.com/

The solution to keeping it if it works it's way loose again is to reinstall your fender liner.

you mean the velocity stack?

Mine has fallen off quite a bit too. You really have to get the hose clamp on there tightly. I suppose duct tape wouldn't hurt either.

Safety wire it, or use some sort of nut and bolt setup.

The small metal bracket included with the Icebox...did you install it correctly? Mine was backwards the first time so the velocity stack always wiggled off. I flipped it and the piece never popped loose again.
