Default just did a compression test

warmed the car up and shut if off...waited 10 min then took plugs out. gassed it and cranked it 4 or 5 times. setup is a b16 head on gsr block with jdm itr pistons. got 240, 210, 240, 235. i dunno what's up with #3. what could be the problem? worn piston ring?

Could be. That's not super bad anyway, but a bit more variance than you'd like to see. Dump a teaspoon of oil in #3 and try that one again. If it goes up near the others it's likely the rings. Otherwise it's probably the valve seals.

Those gauges are too innacurate and there are too many factors to reliably calculate static c/r from it. Even altitude would play a role.

You calculate it, by hand or with a program.

Maybe not worn rings so much but a broken or cracked ring will lose around 30 - 50 psi in a cyl.
