damn, lotta info out there on both setups. do a search, it depends what you plan on doing with the car. ie. drag? good street terror? road race auto x? and most important are you gonna make it BAR street legal that if you're in Cali....
The only real advantages of the B16A over the B18C are price and ability to take extended high revs. Otherwise, everything is better about the B18C. You get 10 more HP and 17 more ft-lb torque. And this is with a C1. Speaking of the C1, you might also want to check out the C5 (ITR motor). The price difference between the C1 and C5 is not as great as you might think.
i got my swap done for 2250 for "everything" (b16) i dont know how much the gsr's are running right now but you find out and decide if the 10 hp and 17 or so tq is worth the difference. for me since i was and am on a budget it wasnt. but if your gonna go turbo i hear the gsr is the one to go with. there is a **** load of info if you search on here though. thats what i did
if you have the cash for a B18, get a B16 and put the extra bling in to it and come out with a stornger motor (i.e. higher red line, quicker revs, stronger pull) people say the B`6 is the torqueless motor but who cares?
