Hello,

I have a d16y7 in my civic. I am using an EX manifold and EX wiring harness. I am putting a DX throttle body on the EX manifold because I have to use the DX IACV w/ the DX ECU, since the DX ECU needs the 3-wire IACV (the 2-wire EX IACV which is on the manifold itself will obviously not work with the DX ecu).

Anyway, I am obviously going to have to add the 3rd wire to the EX harness for the IACV. What are the correct pinout locations for all 3 wires for the IACV? I'm pretty sure it's A12 through A14 or something, but I don't know which wire goes in which location???

This is really confusing for me, and any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Also, the wiring i have is not color-coded the way it should be (using a different plug that i found at a junkyard that happened to fit onto the IACV itself), and of course the 2 wires from the EX IACV + one wire that I will be adding....

This means that I do not know which prong coming out of the IACV is for +, -, and the control wire.

This must sound crazy.........but I need to get it done somehow....

Ok going by looking at the pictures here is what I think..

With Clip for IACVon the top and going from right to left
1st pin will be A12
2nd Pin will be A14
3rd pin will be A13

So If I am correct you just want to convert a 2 pin wire to a 3 pin wire..right?

 

yes, if what you're saying is correct, i just have to add a wire

Yes but I am not an expert on the IACV but just by looking at the wiring thats what is required
