What he is going to need to do is use his throttle body with the 3 wire iacv. If the IM came with the IACV on the back of it cover the plug with tape so it won't get dirt and **** in there and use one piece of tubing to make "U" on the two nipple openings.
The reason why is DX comp look for a three wire IACV and If you use the two wire 1. the plug wont fit (obviously) and 2. you will throw codes and car will run like ****). THe 2 wire is meant for the EX comp so if your friend wants to use a EX comp thinking it will solve the problem he will be wrong even if you do switch the wires A14 to A12 or visa-versa. ANYWAYS he will still throw codes.
I have this set-up on my 97 DX. I swapped to a y8 IM and is using my y7 throttle body with the "U" shaped tube mentioned above and so far no problems. Let me know if your friend has anymore questions.
Good Luck

Re: (MansuDC2)
sorry I haven't posted the pics. My parents went on vacation and took the digital. So I need to get one from my bro, but I haven't forgotten and will do it.

Re: (ntrider)
Cool, thanks for helping, not like some other peeps here on HT that just flame on people or jack threads and make people look stupid just because they ask questions on something they don't know about. Props to you.
