help! using a dx engine wiring harness with ex motor...
hopefully someone can help me out here... i have a 97 hx which had a jdm b18c. i pulled out the motor and dropped in an ex. the car was throwing too many codes, so i just decided to replace the modified hx wiring harness with a dx harness wired for vtec. btw, i'm using an ex ecu now.
so, i laid the two harnesses side by side and noticed that a couple clips were either different or missing, including the one that leads to the secondary oxygen sensor. i don't have my digital camera on me at the moment, so i apologize for the lack of pictures. my question is, does anyone know off the top of their head what the differences are between the dx and the ex wiring harnesses, except the vtec obviously?

the swap (engine and ecu) is from a 97 ex. i know an ex harness would be my best bet, but i've been having a lot of trouble getting a hold of one. that's why i bought the dx harness modified for vtec. if anything, i assumed it'd be better than trying to get the hx harness to work. so what are the main differences between the dx and ex harnesses? are the pinouts to the ecu the same? which clips are different and need to be rewired? i don't have a helms, but my chiltons has pretty good wiring diagrams. i could probably find ecu pinouts posted somewhere on the forum as well. i was just hoping someone would have any general advice/suggestions for me before i really get into it.

On the dx harness you have a 3 wire IAC plug so you'll have change it to a two wire.. You also have to repin 1 wire at the ecu..other then that its pretty easy.. Pm if you need more info..
