JDM ITR into 98 EK Swap Question
I know this is not the Hybrid forum, but I posted over there and it moves too slow. So, without further adeu, this was posted there:
Sorry for the newb question, but I am only asking to learn.
Car = 98 DX Hatch
Motor = 99 JDM ITR
Harness = 98 EX (I think - Bought it over a year ago)
I just got around to installing the EX harness in the motor and everything seems to plug in except into the IAT sensor. The plug on the EX harness and the plug on the IAT sensor are different.
My first thought is to just hack off the plug on the JDM harness and splice it into the EX harness, but then I got second thoughts.
1. Any problems with doing it this way or did I miss something?
2. Is this a normal procedure when doing a swap (splicing in the JDM IAT plug)?
3. How much modifying of the EX harness had to be done in
order to get it to fit into the ITR motor? I hacked the hell out of the electrical tape on the harness and retaped quite a bit of it to get it to reach properly.
Thanks for your patience and help in advance.

Re: JDM ITR into 98 EK Swap Question (Lynx)
This has been covered many times. Arent you supposed to take the plugs u need off the ITR motor and splice them on to the EX harness?

Re: JDM ITR into 98 EK Swap Question (Lynx)
iat on the ex harness is on the passenger side coz the iat on 96-00 civics are on the intake tube. the iat on the itr's are on the manifold you can extend the wire to fit that
