i used ctr pistons and had about 12.3:1 compression. 91 was fine for me with tuning and retarded timing.

I have jdm r pistons and for the break in period i mixed 100 with 91. Gas is so damn expensive so I said crunk that and ran just 91. It runs fine with no knock or detination so I would vote for jdm ITR pistons.

ITR and PR3 SI-R pistons is the most commonly used. Some do run CTR with retard timming on pump gas and get it not to knock or ping. To be on the safe side go ITR or Si-R.

you can run ctr but you'll need to retard the timing as Tom(Camp1320) said, which would also "retard" the performance of your motor. So it won't be putting out its best.

depends on where you live, im in maryland, we have 93 everwhere here. i have my timing retarted just a degree or two and i dont have a problem with CTR. infact i like them quite a bit.

I would go lightweight with some forged pistons.

I do have a set of JDM ITR pistons oversize if you decide you need them.

Endyn rollerwave pistons is what you're seeking, a mild dome 81.5mm dome will be fine with 91 octane and 14 deg timing, race fuel dump the bitch to 18/19 degrees timing. Use one of my ecu programs for best results. I can even put a switch in the euc for you to switch programs on for racing and off for stock if its a 92/95 ecu.
