So we (me & my friend) put in the black spring, but the WG starts to flutter at ~4.5psi and is constantly open at 5psi, sometimes, other times it will hold until 10psi. He has a Profec B Spec II (all settings at zero), but it can not open the WG at lower pressures than what the spring is set at. Any ideas? We are going to try disconecting the solonoid for the boost controller, and see what happens, but I think the results will be the same.

boost controllers can only control boost beyond the spring setting. meaning if you have a 7 psi spring and a boost controller you can not go below 7 psi only above . hope that helps

 

i know, the problem is that the black spring is supposed to be for 9psi, but it is not consistant at all.

deltagates have the adjustment bolt in the top of them... if it is way out and still has the nut on it you may wanna try cranking it down a bit.

deltagates are notorious for needing some adjustment this way to get the prooper boost and valve closure.

try it.

 

how do you have it (profec b) hooked up?

 

the profec B is hooked up according to the directions in the manual. The settings on it seem to do nothing. I'll try messing with the adjustment bolt.
