Default anyone heard of detonation causing rings to loose seat?

anybody heard of rings loosing seat from detonation. they are aftermarket ring that came with je pistons + need a good machine shop in mn anyone have any suggs?

no, never heard of a rin 'losing its seat' from detonation...

I have broken a few ringlands though.

loosing the seat happens when I dump WAY too much fuel in and it doesn't burn.

Detonation can cause your rings to loose their seal definetly. Detonation creates heat. Heat will melt ****. Rings turn to **** with excessive heat. See where this is going.
Fuel washing your walls isnt the only ways to damage your seal. Becareful to believe what people tell you.

i had a engine builder tell me that they can loose there sprung characteristics,
getting oil in and have perrty much ruled out other possibilties,(ringlands guides-seals turboseals) had a piston out and it looked ok to me.
