01 Civic Healights After Wreck
After the wreck in my friends 01 Civic EX coupe, his front bumper was hit in not to bad. But the headlights when he turns them on to normal don't come on, the side amber corners stay on but nothing else. He can turn his brights on with no problem. Any ideas, no visbale wires seem to be disconnected.
I found a new front bumper for him and upon arival and instal i will take the lights off and check then. Any suggestions on what else to look for.
He also said he smelled something burning shortly after the wreck. No CEL or anything came on though and the car runs fine. No leaks on anything.

Dumb question first... Maybe the bulbs are burned out? Blown fuse?
Then - get a DMM & start checking it out. Voltage to the headlight plugs? If not, check the switch, then the wiring behind the bumper. Maybe a wire got pinched & cut in the collision. If a wire got pinched, it probably blew a fuse. High & low beams might have separate fuses?
Light bulbs don't throw a CEL. If he smelled something burning, it could be almost anything.

I know light bulbs don't throw a CEL, I was just describing everything. Yea it was dark last night and I couldn't tell any visable damage. And as for the burning smell he smelled, he was concerned it was something electrical. Sorry for the dumb question, will post up what happend when I find out.
Thanks for the help.
