It's not mounted to the fuel rail it just appears that way due to the angle of the pic.

i think if you make some brackets you might be able to use one (if they don't offer one for the Ef application).

is it really an affective mod?? just basically minimalizes the engine movement right?

instead of getting poly engine mounts, you can use this instead. it does the same job and you won't get lots of vibrations and rattles at idle.

Is that bracket bolted into the hole in the back of the head that the Helms manual says you use to hoist the engine out? Any different angle pics?

Yes it is.

If you have a swap and use the HCP front mount it will act in the same way as well by limiting engine movement.

If you are using stock mounts would this stiffen up you're engine enough. I've got a D16Y8 that was put in using Honda OEM mounts and need to hold the engine more. Would this be an alternative to racing mounts?

Thanks,
VINCE

it would be an alternative, but probably not as effective as poly/stiffened motor mounts. looks like a custom mount for the dampener needs to be made...

not actually, the motor mounts support the engine on a vertical axis. without the the rear and two front brackets the engine would twist violently during acceleration.

[group 8, 10, 12] and [group 1, 11, 9] are for torque......
