JDM ITR Brakes Vs USDM Type R Brakes
Okay I know that 96 spec brakes had Smaller rotors 14" vs the 15" on the 98 Spec (Front)
Question is Which Set of Brakes did the US Type R get? Did the Brakes Change between 97 and 2001?
Seems the US Spec R had the CTR 15 Wheels so I am wondering if the US got the Brakes from the EK9 or DC2?? WHile the 98 Spec DC2 has 16 inch wheels.
Anyone Know the answer? Or can anyone provide a search string that will yeild some results that answer the question at hand. Thanks in advanced.

I am almost sure the EK9 Brakes are different than the 98 Spec DC2.

EK9 and DC2 (98spec) Use the Same Rotors 45251-sz3-000 However the Calipers are Different 45018(19)-sm5-000 and for the 98spec 45018(19)-ss0-a00
96 spec rotors are different and Calipers are different.

I heard its hard to get pads and rotors for the 96 type R setup when theyre worn out??
Is this true?? what pads and rotors do you use and where can i get them

the 96 spec jdm itr uses the same pads as the usdm gsr - which is the same as all usdm dc tegs non itr. Rotors are a little harder to come by but they are available from fastbrakes as well as hmotors
