Default question on itr swap in gsr

for a jdm type r swap in a 95 integra gsr can i use my gsr wiring for the motor and use my gsr ecu and eventually have it reprogrammed, shouldnt the gsr ecu run fine with the motor its sorta like putting high compression pistons, slightly ported head, and skunk 2 manifold on gsr engine. any help or tips on this swap would be appreciated

-- yes you can AND you will also need use these parts off your GSR engine as well in order for everything electrical to be pnp (plug n play):
- distributor
- injectors
- alternator
- vtec solenoid (JDM ITR engines don't use a vtec pressure switch, which you need).

shouldnt the gsr ecu run fine with the motor its sorta like putting high compression pistons, slightly ported head, and skunk 2 manifold on gsr engine.

-- heh, yes its sortta like that. don't forget about the transmission, thats one of the bigger perks about a type-R engine.

any help or tips on this swap would be appreciated

so the electrical will be plug n play by using my gsr distributor, injectors, alternator, and vtec colenoid. So my ecu and wiring will then run the engine fine, eventually i can reprogram my gsr ecu to run the engine like a type R? such as redline and other specs.

Thanks for your help Katman
