vtec solenoid

my car has been parked for about 2 months and when i started it back up my check engine light was on reading code 21 which is the vtec solenoid what could have caused this and what do i check to fix thanx

try resetting ECU...........

yeah the battery was out while i was gone and the ecu was unplugged

Check your wire connector going into the tranny to make sure you don't have green (corosion sp) spots on any terminals. Diassemble solenoid and inspect. All else fails do a search.
