From what I have been told, no more than 10psi of you want it to last.
throw a blockguard in there, get a nice tune, and run 20psi all day. I did for a year and a half on a t3/t04B/440cc/hondata/stock motor setup...drove her to work everyday, too.

How many degrees though should he back off on timing per psi? with 12:1 a/f ratio?

just do 1 # to be safe and use some toulene in your mixture. you can add a efw more degrees in the last boost column but the gains wont be much.
so,,u would say that im underboosting right now,,,,only runnin 8psi???
i am gonna look into cams,,and some forged stuff in a lil bit,,
but just wanted to see what i can run with what i have now
i didnt wanna blow it up,,and have to spend alot more money then i would of,,just using moeny to build the motor,,to handle more psi
i think im gonna try 10 psi
thanks mike

Yep seen it done before....
The comment about 10psi which engine are you refering to?
each engine is different, 10psi on a sohc d15 is a lot harder then 10psi on a b18c, then add tuning into it's a whole new ball game...it soundws as though he's got the tuning dept in check
