I was "away" from HT for nearly a year. No, I wasnt locked up or anything, just had too much on my plate and hade to get some things straightened out. Anywho...

It seems to me the HT I remember had a lot more informitive posts which just about anyone who read them would learn from. There also seems to be a dramatic increase of "hold my hand" type posts. It seems 70% of the posts on here are questions that can either by easily answered by using the search function as they have been beat to death or they are questions that are so vauge they cant be answered (how much boost on this block? how much HP will I make with this setup, what ET will I have with this turbo) Hell, even I am guilty of such a post since my return.

Am I suffering from selective memory, or has it really changed?

 

i dont know about you, but there aren't many BS/flame/real uninformative posts in the FI forum that dont get locked...

 

Seems that the FI list doesn't get nearly the same level of moderation other lists do. That has good and bad points, but it would be nice to see a bit more "policing" of the trolls...

 

yeah, dont see many of them, never really remember seeing them before either. I just remember posts like sonny's block posting, and blueshadows compressor map reading, and posts that everyone contributed to like how to polish a turbo, and the junkyard turbo specs post, things like that.

 

Maybe you are just remembering the good, and forgetting the bad?
