Default New Forced Induction Moderator

Well, as many people may or may not want this, I've become moderator of the Forced Induction forum.

Nick and I will probably frequent this forum more than other moderators, so we've decided some things need to be said.

the forum has gone to crap recently, and even I can be guilty of it. A long time ago before I knew much of anything, people took the time to always help, instead of hate.

We've decided to really try to crack down on the excessive hate, flame posts, etc.

As nick says:
post something postiive, post something negative, thats fine, but whatever you post make sure its constructive

So try following that. and if you dont care to....deleting certain posts, comments will be in order, locking threads, docking points, cool titles, jackass level, etc.

Dont get offended for locking threads, modifying thread titles, deleting flame posting.

We have a great resource here, lets try to keep it positive.

Use the Search feature, nick also took the time to make a FAQ, please use those, if you cant find what your looking for, then of course, post your questions.

its up to each moderator.

I was only s2000 moderator for the longest time.

naturally, take no offense to this, but bitching about it in this post wont make things any better. instead you should have nicely asked knightsport why he took your privledges away, and if u actually did something wrong, you shoudl have waited it out for a few days/weeks, then nicely asked for it back after proving to keep your nose clean.

Ive been a forced induction forum junkie for a while now, and I'm glad to see someone in the know man the helm now. I've been bored lately with most recent topics, no one has anything informative to say. I feel most of the guys who really know what the **** they are talking about keep the **** to themselves and all I read about lately is "Should I get an SS Autochrome manifold?" Who gives a ****, if you want one, buy one. If you have anything positive or negative to say about the manifold you have purchased, post it. Everyone would love to hear about RESULTS, not when I turn 16 I'm gonna get X,Y,Z for my civic. If you want info on "should I buy this or that", do a search on that product, you will find tons of info on it, I promise. Anyway, hope I don't **** anyone off with my ranting, just wanna see FI get back to hardcore, useful tech info. Mase, hope u can help fix this. BTW my **** is done, dyno next week. 500WHP or bust.

I asked nicely(different moderator), went to another moderator and my sins were forgiven(didnt put the state in the title of a vehicle f/s post). Lesson of the day? READ THE DAMN RULES!!!!

Mase is 110% right.

The negative posts, flaming, and "oh youre so stupid newbie do a search" **** has got to go. That may be the "in" thing in GDD, but in a tech forum, it isnt going to fly. You see a post you dont like, report it to us. We'll do our job in trying to keep the redundant, basic questions to a minimum.

I trust Mase to make good decisions when nailing people for these offenses.

I'll level with you all right now, not all moderators do things right, and certainly not all moderators operate the same way . All I can say about Mase and I is that when we dock you, you will know why. If we delete or lock your post, you will know why. The hope with this is, you won't break the rules or take anything away from the positive discussion in the forum, because you can be SURE it will come back to take your priveledges away. This seems to be the only way we can keep the mature, technical discussion alive.

I think this should make some of the older, more "valuable" members happy as well as ease up on some of the new people who are scared to post in this hostile environment.

In short, check the FAQ, CONTRIBUTE to the FAQ, don't be a dick, don't ever be afraid to ask questions or question someone elses theories just do it constructively, treat everyone with respect and you'll see it too.

knibb high football rules.

Glad to see newgsrdriver and mase are gonna be running things. As I start another turbo project I know I will have 103894094 stupid questions to ask, at least now the risk of getting flamed has went down
