How to make my music loud?
Ok the topic might sound stupid, but I want my stereo to be loud, like not bass loud, but speaker loud, so I could lets say, listen to rock really loud,
heres my current setup
pioneer 7400 cd player with MP3 50x4
infinty kappa 6.5 in rear
infinity refrence 6.5 up front
this is in an integra, i also have like a 25x2 rockford amp that i havent put in yet, what are some good ideas? thanks all

amp the front speakers.. should get a tad bit louder. that headunit will put out around 18 watts the most. the amp (assuming its 25x2@4ohm watts RMS) should put out a bit more than 25 watts. u might not notice the difference though. i'd get an amp that puts out about 50 watts per channel. that should take care of your problems. until u find bass is lacking then you'll want a sub. lol
NO NO NO. I have a 4 channel eclipse amp 70X4 RMS @ 4 ohms. pushing that to my type r's. (equal to infinity's) With the gain at 1/2 My ears literally can't make out the music past 28/9 on my deck then I got out of my car closed the windows an turned it up to 40, no distortion, and when I cracked the window an inch I could walk nearly 200 ft and still hear the music.
Thats loud.
You will need a sub at those volumes without a sub would be stupid.

thanks for the postive help, for now, i think im gonna run that amp to the rear speakers, and just let the fronts be, then add a small sub in future for further music enjoyment

That's nothing...Jason Winslow runs the following for his front stage:
ID CD2 minihorns with mylar diaphrams
Custom ID CX64 midranges
ID IDQ-8 midbasses.
Linear Power 2.2 8 ohms stereo on the horns= 150 watts.
Linear Power 2.2 4 ohms mono on each midrange= 600 watts (2)
Linear Power 3.2 8 ohms mono on each midbass= 800 watts (2)
So...150+1200+1600= 2950 watts.
Now that's total RMS, and I'm sure the speakers will never see that kind of power...imagine the dynamics on that front stage...

Too bad the speakers cannot acutally handle that much power. 800 watts one a midbass
