Default I need help on a swap before I invest

I have a 97 Civic coupe EX and I desperatly need more power than what the SOHC v-tec is doing for me .... What engine would everyone recommend, Year, and is it basically bolt in ? Also what ECU should I get because I have seen my friends messing around with knock sensor wireing and wireing for everything else. I just want it to be as plug and play as possible. Thanks for your help.

Might I suggest a B20A3... the original B-series motor. You will turn heads with this motor. If you pop your hood, people from all around with be impressed with this very rare and very powerful B-Series motor. This swap is the coolest of cool, fastest of fast, nicest of nice.....do what Bauley said and search, motor swap questions have been asked a million times

Yeah yeah yeah call me a noob or whatever you want but I am stupid as hell and it takes me hours to get all the exact information I need by picking through each post and getting alittle bit of info so I wanted to get the best ideas then research them. I don't know too much about the ugly stepchild motor b20's. Are they v-tec ? And how am I going to hook up an older wiring harness to the obd2 mine has ?

Please stop talking...just search already. You are making yourself look even stupider. If you knew how to search, you would know the B20A3 is out of an 88 Lude. Its a 12-Valve, SOHC, Carbuerated (sp?) OBD-0 motor. See, this is why i told you to search, you can find out so much in so little amount of effort. The information you want/need for your swap IS on this message board, just gotta find the right threads...

if this is the way u research things..my suggestion would be to just go to a shop and pay them for the whole swap and install
