Will the ITR Pistons fit into a 1.6 B16a DOHC Vtec?

 

Y yes they will my friend. No prob there, but I recomend the CTR ones. CTR pistons = more compression that = more HP

If u wanna use any of these 'R' pistons in/on your B16A or B17A engine, you HAVE to do the following or else the 'R' piston will NOT fit. You do not have to do this rod-mod to any of the B18C/C1/C5 rods.

 

get the jdm ctr ones..11.1 c/r and get .25 over

The mod is actually for the rods to fit the wrist pins. I did it with my ls/vtec. The CTR pistons will fit fine. Not sure what compression you'll get with the CTR, probably around 11:1 or so. But the ITR's will work fine too.

 

I am about to buy some ITR Pistons from a friend. Should i hold off on those and find some CTR Pistons? Are there any aftermarket ones that are better than the CTR? Sorry if these questions are kinda dumb but i am kinda new to all this. I just got my b16a swap and i wanna learn more about on how to make my car alot faster. I love VTEC

They look like CTR but dont seem to have the coating around the piston.

 

In your sig it says Drag 3 Kit coming soon, I wouldnt reccomend Higher compression if thats the case. I would reccomend
Turbo - Forged Pistons with lower compression (9.5:1), Maybe Endyn's
N/A - CTR's for 11:1

 

Yeah i know. Actually i need to change that. I plan on going turbo later in the future. Thanks anyways...
