Is 130k Miles too much to boost (daily driven d16z6)???
Wanted to know if 130k miles is considered too high to be boostin on a daily driven d16z6??(on a gerddy kit) Thanx!
not even i heard about a guy with 150k ls and still boosted it hasn't blown yet and its been over 2 years, at 7lbs of boost
first off.. how old is the water pump/oil pump..timing belt...spark plugs?..and also you would want to do a compression test and possibly a leak down test to insure the engine is running in a good state...now if the leak down test/compression test look good..and all other items I said before are not to old(I mean more than 70k on each) then go for it..remember Speed always comes with a Cost. Of course there are other items u may want to check for wear..like the clutch..engine mounts..but if you want to drive this car everyday and enjoy the power of a turbo u have to do preventive maintenance good luck
as long as the engine compression tests good, and you have taken care of the care with a regular maintainance schedule you should be ok.
Do a compression test and post up the results, and we can say whether or not. It's all about the compression test

Compression test and actually spend a few bucks (and some time) tuning and it doesnt matter the mileage
