120kmi. turbo too risky?
My honduh has 121k, supposidly mostly highway, i bought and only put on 8 myself so i dont know, but when i bought it it had many service records, all oil change records, and then car is in great shape. I hope to get pix soon to show u guys, but anywho, since the car is taken care of, u think if i put the greddy kit on it running about 8PSI it would be ok? Im just not sure.
I'd do a compression and leakdown tests... see what they result in and judge from there...
You may also want to consider changing your headgasket first... that way you can inspect the piston tops valve faces... check the block and head for warpage... change the gasket to a *EDIT*NOT THINNER THICKER*/edit* thinner one to lower compression if you want...
you'd have a MUCH better idea of the general condition of things in there...
You could do it w/o though...

yea def. do a compression test and a leakdown test...the amount of miles isnt really a BIG factor when deciding to boost a motor...i mean somone can have a 40k mile engine that was ragged on half of its life...
i'm put my greddy kit on at 175k and now i have 180 and going with a t3

ill echo everyone else
compression and leakdown test. that will tell you what kind of condition the motor is in. thats the most important thing. miles are meaningless if the motor was taken care of. ive seen motors with 140,000 miles that look like they were just broken in, and motors with 20,000 that look like they have 200+k

190K miles on my stock B18A.... just changed out the timing belt (cause my water pump was failing, so I changed both out) and still running strong for the past 4 months with my turbo, and it's daily driven with AC. When I take the motor out here shortly, I'll tear it down and check out the rings and headgasket and see how much abuse it really took.
Yeah you need to check the condition of YOUR motor. A motor can have 100K miles and be in excellent condition or have 50K and be shitty! Good luck though. I have 85K on mine..going turbo one day...I'm just going to be prepared for the worst!
