Default Think I can get another session out of this pad? :P

While I was installing new wheel studs in the rear this weekend I came across this:

Just goes to show how important inspecting your car is before you head out on track. Don't just assume your brakes are fine now because they were fine last time you checked them.

Yikes! Good thing the rear brakes don't do much, eh? I checked out the rear pads last time i changed the wheels out - so that would have been about a week before the FATT. Must have broken at the FATT. At least, you should still have the stock pads with some meat on them.
Goes to show that a pad that is sold as street/auto-X really cannot handle too much race track! Duh. my bad.

Those are special "weight-saving" pads right?

-Kyle "who will be under his car tomorrow night bleeding brakes and checking everthing before GingerMan this coming weekend."

No problem. I'm just glad I cought it before it saw the track again.

BTW, I put new wheel studs in at all 4 corners. You were right, two of the left front sheared off when I tried to remove them. Now I don't have lug nuts long enough for the new studs...

Yeah. The problem is I need them like now. The car is up on jackstands in my parent's garage. I thought I would be able to get some by now but I can't find them locally. Any suggestions?

I used the 3.2 TL rear studs. Read more here.

aren't the stock lug nuts open? If so, just use the stock wheels with the stock lug nuts to get the car moving. Then you can wait on the lug nuts to come in to use with the K1 wheels.

I don't know if cars actually came from Honda with open end lugs, but autoparts stores carry them.

OMG, I am a bonehead. I didn't even bother looking at the other set of lug nuts for the stock wheels because the stock lugs that came with my R were closed-ended, so I didn't think about it.

I went by there today and sure enough the extra set you gave me were open-ended. I put the stockers on and moved the car out of the garage. I won't be telling my parents that one of their cars has been stuck out in the rain for the past two days for no good reason.
