Im looking into how much am i gonna spend turbo wise
NOw about this turbo set-up im looking to get 200 to the wheels. Now as far as what i need It should be @ 5 psi for a h22a block right. Now Im gonna run the turbo @ 6psi and have it well tuned do I really need to resleeve my block for that kinda power Do I need pistons and sleeves, or even rods for this?tell me what will i need when i get a thing outta this on racing?
at that low boost you could manage with just an fmu. but i would recommend 310cc injectors, fmu, vafc. that will give you more than enough fuel for safety. tune it with your a/f at 12.5 when boost hits to 11.7 in the upper rpm range to give an extra bit of leeway.
it all depends on how long you want it to last, 6psi isn't to bad on stock internals. But if you sleeve it you can go higher and have to motor last longer, just costs more, 850 plus shipping for GE sleeves, 650 for crower rods, and maybe 400 for a set of rings and pistons, plus labor, balance the crank and all the bearings, gaskets, belts and seals, looking at an easy 3-4k just to build the bottom end
Budget 10k for a turbo setup and a second car. If you get away with less, great - buy your helpers some beer - if you blow an engine/ecu/transmission, you're not left high and dry. You can do it for a lot less, if things go well, but that's the worst case IMHO.
it's all about tuning
