Default Help:Irrattic at 1000-2000 RPM

In need of help. I have just recently swaped in a b16a2 into my 96 civic HB. The initial swap went without a hitch, although I was forced to use my original engine harness from my d16y7, and added in the necessary vtec wiring. Now, my question is when reving and while driving the engine at 1000 thru 2000 rpm, I begin starting to have this irrattic up and down reving. After passing 2000 rpm the car then drives normally. What could this porblem be...? Any info or diagnosis would be greatly appreciated!!!

Any CEL? If so, what code(s)?

Forgot to mention a code 14 is given. Could that be the problem?

Have you checked the plug for the IAC. Try taking the IAC off and spray it with carb cleaner followed by some wd40.

Reguarding the IAC valve. The D16y7 wire harness that Im using has a three wire plug and the IAC valve itself has only two prongs? Which wires go with which. The three wires on the harness are orange, black w/ blue stripe, and yellow w/ black stripe.

So you arent getting the CEL 14, but still have the idle problem. Try adjusting the throttle cable, or the stop screw on your TB that sets the amount the butterfly can close.
