Default The dreaded po505 cel code. Need help to fix it

So i have a cel on and checked to see what code i had and po 505 came up . So i have a b16a2 obd 2 motor in a em1 . After doing some research in this code i found out that maybe i have a vacumm leak. I read that i have to disconnect my intake and i will see two hoses on the left side by the firewall on my tb. Well i did that and i dont see no hoses. I only see a hose coming from the iacv to the fitv . Now i know that it aint those hoses cause they have coolant in them. So where else am i suppose to look to see if infact i do have a vacumm leak.

Do you have an idle problem? If so, describe it.

If you reset the ECU, does P0505 return?

If you have a stock B16a2, it does not have an FITV.

Ok sorry about the problem it idles between 1000 rpm and 2000 rpm . I reset it already but yes it does co e back . I even bleed the system thinkin i had air in it. Sometimes the idle surges up to 2000 rpm and u can hear the motor reving. Ok if i dont have a fitv then are them the hose that i have to check?

You can shoot some brake cleaner where you suspect you have a vaccuum leak, if the idle smooths out, you've found one. Another way to check for a vaccuum leak is to use a smoke machine typically used to test evap systems for leaks.

Ok well as i was changin my pcv valve i heard a hissing sound so im moving hoses around to see if it stops nothing . I look in back of my intake manifold by my brake resevouir i see a lil nipple with out any hose attached to it. I put my finger on it boom the car dies. I think i found my problem. So my question is what hose goes there? Does the hose come from The charcoal canister? Or can i just cap it off?

By the way i converted my auto to stick so i have a ex charcoal canister . Is the em1 charcoal canister different?

Is your cruise control plugged in? It might be the vacuum line to the cruise control.

^Yes. Now reset the ECU to see whether the code no longer returns.

The warm idle should be steady at about 700 rpm (no load).
