Default necessary fuel upgrades for a direct port kit...

I just read a reply from a NOS tech saying that I have to go direct port, because they don't make a plate kit for a 93 VTEC. So my question is what fuel upgrades should i make? fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, AEM fuel rail? I'll probably run an 80 shot for a few weekends, but i want to be able to run a 150 shot after i get my H22A rebuilt. Thanks for the help.

you sound like you're on top of it. After you get the motor built, just be sure to upgrade the injectors. I tend to play things safe.

why would i need bigger injectors? I thought that the additional fuel came through the intake manifold with the NOS. Could you elaborate a bit. thanks

well, if you get the motor built, you're going to need more fuel. Period. Stock injectors are great, but with a 150 shot? I wouldn't count on JUST the wet shot to help you out.

Like I said... I play it safe on those things. Lean to me is like a fat woman, some guys can have it, but it's not for me.

Alright I see the logic in that. Thanks for the help. Do you think the stock fuel pump could keep up with the 150 shot if i increased the fuel pressure, or should i go ahead and just add the fuel pump too?

So your saying fuel pump, fuel rail, FPR, and injectors?

a good first start.

bare minimum is going to be FPR.

But go in this order... FPR, FP.. I wouldnt do NOS with less than that. (some might argue)

Then Injectors, fuel rail last if you need it. All the Fuel rail does is leave a little more gas waiting incase the fuel pump can't quite keep up at that moment. It's not going to give you any HP.
