Default what is the best ignition for turbos.... MSD6AL?, MSD6BTM?, CRANE, Jacobson ignition

What is the best ignition for turbos? I have a 2000 Honda Civic SI with a drag gen 3 turbo kit and i have a msd ignition with a 6al ignition box and i get a rough idle and sometimes loss of power mid range, and even the car bogging out but when i put the ignition system back to stock the car runs fine until it goes into boost then it misfires........ What should i do? bad msd box maybe? thinking about changing my ignition to ccrane.... can i have some input please thanx

No.. what are they gapped at? And why not just stick to a BTM and retard timing as boost comes on.. the 6al realy isn't necessary for 8 psi man, the stock ignition setup with a colder plug is good enough, someone correct if I am wrong and with the MSD I think the gap should be around .28. But I would get a second opinion to confirm that

actually...

MSD is the better ignition system.

when you have an MSD box, youre supposed to gap it .05 to .1 higher than stock on STOCK plugs. if youre running a colder plug with a smaller gap, apply the same concept.

i dont see why your msd would make your car do that. its supposed to help. maybe you should try to get a new box and see if its makes a difference. maybe your spark gap isnt sufficient. are you sure that the iridium plugs are the right ones? try using NGKs. also, make sure that the box is hooked up correctly. im not sure if you mentioned if you used an externoil coil... but i would recommend using one. the 6a doesnt work that well wit the internal coil.
