Default All motor LS B16 pistons and 2 layer head gasket..... gains??

I have extra B20 rods laying around (same as LS )
I also have extra B16 pistons

I plan on going LS/VTEC in the future....next year some time.

But in the mean time I was considering the following

shot peen the B20 rods
arp rod bolts
B16 pistons
new rings
new bearings
2 layer head gasket

should net me a considerably higher compression ratio than stock
11:1 using C-speedracing calculator

another advantage of doing this now would be that I could break in the rings now. so that once I put the vtec head on....I can go beat on it right away....instead of having to break in the new rings if i did it all at once

now the question is?
will it net me gains? if so how much?
keep in mind all I have is a CAI and cat back.
so this would be with stock ECU and stock exhaust manifold
and would it be safe with stock ECU

I plan to use hondata s200 once i go LS/VTEC

if you're worried the ecu will dump on it then I would sugggest all the same mods minus the 2layer HG, just use an OEM one and you'll be laughin.

the stock ecu has no problem with that at all.
