Default ls vtec pistons

On my last ls/v i used ls crank, block, rods, and pistons(9:1) with a b16 head and that gave me a ~9.7 CR.
I never had the valves hit or anything, but from what i hear its better to use vtec pistons so that you can use larger cams. soooo i decided that i will try them out on a new motor.

That being said, which "vtec' pistons will give me between a 9:1 and 10:1 compression ratio with with ls crank, rods, and a b16 head? (oem head gasket)

thanks

Why not use a forged piston(and rod for that matter)? Most forged pistons have oversized reliefs, and a lot use the same par tnumbers for VTEC and non-VTEC applications, so the only difference is the actually CR you end up with when using different heads. A typical flat top forged piston should yield the CR you're looking for, while also having larger valve reliefs.

I forgot to mention, i'm looking for forged after market pistons. I was under the impression that the non vtec pistons (even in the aftermarket world) did not have adiquite valve reliefs. however, i recently heard from a friend that alot of the pistons are cut the same.
so i should be alright w/ whatever i order as long as the compression is right? I'll double check w/ the company i order from, but thanks for the info guys
