ep3 compression numbers, 50,500 miles on the motor :)
190, 197, 191, 180
can't post much right now, but i think that last 180 was due to a loose adapter ring on my compression tester. I tested it a 3rd time (the other cylinders only got two runs) it would spike up to 190, then slowly bleed down to 180-185 and hold. I took the worst case number (first two readings). If i re-test, I'm pretty sure it will read in the 190 range, but I didn't have time to do it today. and I didn't think to re-tighten the adapter ring.
anyhow, not too bad aside from cylinder #4 which I think is a fluke. I'll be re-testing soon though. I need new plugs though, the plugs are ashy white on the grounds. Meaning too much timing, lean, or just too hot. car hasn't pinged at all, I do drive the **** out of it though. The electrode is good though , the iridium is pretty durabale.
Overall i'm pleased with the #'s @50,500 miles. The 9.8 cr reads more like a 10:1
oh, and the neuspeed bar totally gets in the way of spark plug changes. i had to remove all the nuts, and unseat the passenger side of the bar to get the coil packs out and to get my extension into the spark plug holes.
