Default To those people running an MSD setup... SIMPLE questions...

I'll make this simple: can you run JUST a modified distributor cap and blaster 2 coil? Or do you NEED a ignition module(SCI, 6a, etc)? Would just running the coil be helpful?
Thanks

I was about to post this same question cause I have a Blaster 2 coil and picking up my msd cap tomorow but don't know if the 6a box is required or if just the blaster coil will help the spark.

i always asked my self the same question,,, but think about it like this,,, you have to remove the factory coil and run the rpm signal and power (or something) to the msd box, so i would say you prob have to use the msd box, thats my guess,, but im not completely sure

How did you hook up the coil? as in what wires did you run to it from where?

take the stock coil out..take the 2 wires that went to the coil..add a few feet of wire to them (cut off ends and solder the new wire on) notch the cap a little bit so wires can run thru..put cap back on..run wires to the coil..connect..run coil wire to the cap..start car and enjoy.
