My freind just got a venom chip but im not sure if it exactly for my engine... But if I put it on will it hurt my engine in anyway? The chip is switch on/off version and it is supposed to restore all the factory mods when it is turned off... Will it still perform as well if it is not exactly the engine it is supposed to be on??? I have a EP3

 

I would think that having it on an engine that it wasnt designed to be on would be harmful. I wouldn't try it.

 

I found out he was getting a universal chip that works with any electronic fuel enjected engine so... Ill let you guys know how the whole universal venom chip works on the ep3

i dont understand how its programmed to be universal.
doesn't every car need a different air/fuel ratio and diff rev limiters?

 

I guese it has a way of programming itself to the car some how... ill have to read more about it on the directions on how it is oprated before I put it in, When it arrives in the mail ill check out how it works.

 

I dont have a clue what a venom chip is. But it sounds almost like the "chip" you are describing is one of those reistors put on the IAT sensor that advances your timing. I dunno...sounds fishy
