Default pager alarms?

Are they any good? I read that they dont have very good range. I only need it to go about 150 yards because my car will be parked down the street. Will this suffice? Also, about how much do they run?

I have looked into the pager alarms alot and finally got one. I purchased an ast 4250 2way pager alarm system for my honda. it has great range about. 2500 feet in great conditions. they run around the 200-250 price range and if you have it installed it's gonna be around 500-600. another great pager alarm is the new one from viper. it's gonna be a little bit more but for the money I wished I would have bought it. it has a better transmitter. they have cool features to like remote start. and if your boosted it has a built in turbo timer that is pretty nice.

I have the Clifford Matrix.... and the range is really good. My house if about 100 feet from where I park and I can turn it on and off from inside of the house.

You dont need a driveway Your supposed to stick the motion detector somewhere IN your car and leave the receiver in your house. Edit: nevermind i thought you said 150 feet not yards. Still might work though

I have one of those. However, the 400ft range is only in ideal conditions. It's perfect if your car is on your driveway or on the street in front of your house. Buildings affect the range of Driveway Patrol. I do recommend it. Fry's occasionally has that on sale for $14.99. It works as I personally know someone who was able to prevent his car or belongings inside the car from being taken. Keep in mind that Driveway Patrol may not prevent the actual break in.

Keep a layered defense: Club, alarm, Driveway Patrol, pager system, kill switch, etc.

driveway patrol - since its battery operated and will be kepping it on over night buying batteries will become an issue.

The sensor uses a 9V, and like a smoke detector it's "always on". The 9V should last over a year. If the red light doesn't light up when you move your hand over the sensor, change the 9V.

The receiver uses 3 C cells. So far mine has been on almost 24/7 since May, and it still working well. Turn on the receiver only when you need it. The C cells should also last over a year. But if you're **** about the batteries, buy some NiMHs. You can get an all in one charger for about $20 that charges all the sizes.

Daul Alarms, thats what u need a Club and autolocker and a low jack and take off your door locks and your tow hooks.

Cliffort Avangurd 4, **** THE new G5, <-- FUcken DEI SHITNess
Viper 790VX has the cheapest pager unit, witch is the same unit as the Cliffort RS3
The Pyhon also has the same unit it's the 880Xp or some **** like that, they all use the same remote, it's ok, it works good if you part it like 50 feet away from ur house, still works nice, leave it near ur ear, but with the blackjacks they anit taken the car regardless

So where do you put the sensor before you park it at night. Will the sensor be hindered by certain items. Ie if I throw it in my back seat will the front seats block the sensor?
