Default cel w/no code......engine falls on its face. please help!!!!!

I am getting a random cel, when this happens the engine falls flat on its face. this will only last a second or two and then it drives fine again. when i stop to check the cel on my ecu there is no code. the car really isn't driveable, and sometimes it will stall. i really need help, i am suppose to be driving back to school (3hours) tomorrow.

Have you tried to reset your ecu?

yep, tried resetting the ecu. the problem seems to occur when the engine is warm. and i'm using the term, "falling flat on its face" because the car doesn't coast when the cel comes on, it slows down quickly but doesn't stall. also the throttle is unresponsive when the cel is on.

mini me a6/y8
t25 turbo
zdyne gold
450's
starion fmic

conclusions i have come to:
bad 02 sensor
loose dist rotor
bad plugs/wires
running too rich

its a really bad hesitation...i have been searching for hours and still nothing. it only happens when the car is warmed up, which doesen't take long with the turbo.

Did you change anything recently before this happened? I would DL or try a new map on the zdyne. Check any connectors you can think of. A loose rotor wouldn't throw a code.

im going to try switching the o2 to a known working one, thati have lying around here. then im going to try using the stock map sensor w/ a known working zdyne code. if that doesn't work then i'll come back and pick the h-t brains again.

When does it do this, anytime while driving or only in left hand turns or right hand turns, only when going into a turn really hard and all the gas goes to one side turn, just on straights?

This might help people to understand your situation a little better.

i never really thought about it being a gas starvation problem. perhaps i'll try taking some hard left and right turns and see if thats the culpret. I am doubtfull because this only occurs randomly when the car is warmed up, not when its cold.

at high speeds the check engine light will come on but the car doesn't hesitate as bad. at low speeds its so bad that it almost comes to a stop, then it will just pop right out of this cycle and start running like nothing ever happened
