can't go past 7........

i thought that on a b16a1 it should go up to 8200 rpm stock, but mine will hit it's limit at 7000rpm any explainations????? by the way my ecu is a pr3.

your in vtec reservation mode.
i had that happen. but i got KS-R to fix it fo rme
he said that the wiring was done wrong.
but yeah do check for codes being thrown.

yeah my check engine light comes on when i drive it for a while, but that is cause i don't have a clip to hold in a knock sensor. which the guy that did the swap for me said. So it is a wiring problem??

Yes it kinda sounds like it. I know that on OBD0 B16's it won't let you go into vtec if your CEL light is on or if your oil is low or if your speedo cable isn't hooked up.
