problem starting and keeping idle
hey eveyone,
my 93 LX 5sp is haveing problems startign and keeping idle, we just replaced the trany yet again it has no speed sencer tho and we replaced the intake sencer with one form a automatic. now this is what it does, it will crank over about the 10th time you crank it it will start as long as you hold down the gas the car will run. but as soon as you let off the gas it will die. does anyone know what might be the problem?
o the car is 100% stock.
thanks

The intake sencer? What?
It sounds like you should be looking at the sensors on the intake manifold. I'd start with checking for vacuum leaks and such on and around the intake manifold and in the PGM-FI box, and then start looking at the various valves, particularly the Idle Air Controller Valve (I think that's spelled right, the one that controls idle at normal temperatures) or Fast Idle Valve (for idle at cold starts).
