Default how my swap is coming (project dohc zc

ohh boy this is actully fun so far.. yea i was taking of the flywheel and yea you guessed it... stripped a bolt that was fun.. back down off the engine stand and on the floor... hit the **** out of the nut and yep i got it out(damn old bolts).. took the oil pan and all the ditties off to change the main bearings. pulled the crank and to get to the pistons i changing the rod bearings and one of the piston studs fell in the piston after i was almost done putting it all back.. then my friend who was in a hurry decided not to see which number match up on the bottom of the piston back apart again realign them.. other than that it gone pretty smooth piston rings, every gasket known to man and some elbow greese and yep its to the outside for the swap today... wish me luck ladies and fellas as we know nothing will go as planned... later guys more to come im sure...

No one said swapping was easy or cheap. They should sell a bottle of Advil with each swap! Good luck man. By the way, I'm in Melbourne.....lots of hot Hondas over here.....Anyone know when the next Honda or CRX meet is?

Another post I read and another I ask... why take out the A6 to replace it with a ZC???
The outcome is pretty much the same and the money you used for the ZC you could had used for the A6...

Was the A6 shot?
just my .02 cents...

i just want the engine that should have been in there anyway. And i wanted to start with a simple swap for me its only my second. Plus im tired of people here in orlando thinking the only motor that can produce power is a bseries motor.. i think a turbo zc will just do fine.I hope i have answered you question.Plus if you know where i can find a zc hood write back>>>>>

I'm glad your swap went well. I have a ZC in my CRX and love it! Very nice engine. There are some good posts about turbo ZC's as well as some great web pages...search around. September is the next meet? Hell yeh, I'll be there. I think we all should write our HT user name or something on a piece of paper cause' meets are the first time some of us get to see each other face to face...just an idea...

Congrats on your swap. Mine has been... interesting. I went by what I thought was the factory wiring order on the ECU, the way they number their pins. Well, according to all the posts, they count pins differently than the factory did. I could see the numbers on my ECU plug, but they didn't quite match. Me being dumb, I decided I'd GUESS at which wires to move and where to. Hope I didn't fry my ECU. Tomorrow I'm going to look at it and see if I hooked it up wrong. The engine will crank, but no spark/fuel and no ECU lights going off. Hope I can pull this one out...
