It probobly depends on tire size..what tire size were your planning on running.

The widest I have heard are 7.5..but Im sure you could do wider, there are alot of variables to consider.

i'm pretty sure that you can run 7'' rims and be ok with 225s because the azenis 215s are hella wide for their spec, probably closer to 225, and can still run on 7''s

ssr comps in 15x7.5 are a great choice also

Better choose 8*15 rims... There are a few choices out there.. Compomitive, ATS.... But there are some competition series where you are not allowed to run a wider rim than stock... So better do some research.
Running a very wide rim and 225 tires only for street application is stupid imho because you don`t need all that grip but blowing up the budget you need for your rubbers....

Anyone ever heard of "widening" a rim? I remember a post somewhere in the RR forum where someone mentioned having rims widened. How and who would do that? I have 2 sets of stock GM ITR wheels. Would be interesting to have one set widened to 7" if there is such a thing

Cut and weld. However I wouldn't reccomend that on a cast wheel.

15x8.5 here. well, monday they will be at least. the 225/45 hoosier fits the best on a 8.5.

i will get more pics when the wheels arrive. they are not DOT approved, so they are not recommended for the street. race only folks

Before you think of those Ken, ask Chris to show you pics of his new fenders.

.....I saw them a long time ago - and supposedly Yasu is working on getting them for the dc2 as well. I don't give a WHAT WHAT, I'll take a rubber hammer to my fenders and MAKE the wheels fit.

225/45-15 Hoosiers fit fine on a 15x7 wheel. 8.5" wide is overkill. wheel width depends on your offset. you will probably have more trouble fitting in the rears than the fronts.

7" or even an 8" pinches a 225 hoosier. 9" is a little wide, so 8.5 is perfect. trust me on this, as i have had many many 225's on everything from a stock 6" to 8" wheel, and 8.5 is the best. a 225 hoosier on a 7" whel is fine for most, but frankly, i need every ounce of traction i can get, and a 8.5" wheel give me just that. i will post pics when my wheels come back.

.....some of the local crx's run 13x9's with a 225 hoosier.

It appears that most jdm wheels max out between 7-8" wide however.....

Let me know what offset you'll be running rodney... I need something that can clear some big bl00 brakes.
